Korea, Honestly (korea.jayinform.com) is a personal blog run by Jay. This page explains what data is collected when you use it.
Ratings and traveler tips
- You can rate places and post tips without an account.
- To stop the same person from voting twice, we store a one-way code created from your IP address and browser information. The IP address itself is not stored, and the code cannot be turned back into it.
- Tips show the name and "where you're from" you choose to enter. Please don't post personal information.
- Tips with links or abusive language are reviewed before they appear. Spam and personal attacks are removed.
- You can delete your own tip from the same browser and network you posted it from, or ask me to remove it.
Visit statistics
To see which pages are useful, the site counts page views per day: the page address, the website you came from (domain only) and your country. It uses no cookies. A one-day anonymous code (a one-way hash that changes every day) is used to count unique visitors; your IP address is not stored.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Maps
Place pages embed Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may collect data according to its own privacy policy. Direction buttons open Google Maps, Naver Map or KakaoMap, which have their own policies.
Cookies and advertising
This site does not use its own tracking cookies. If advertising (such as Google AdSense) or analytics is added in the future, third-party vendors may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and this page will be updated.
